Taking All Bets was released July 14th and was rated as an XL by XXL Magazine, who declare that “Jay 305 rises to the occasion,” on his long anticipated debut album. The album features the lead single, “When You Say,” ft. Omarion as well as the stand out cuts “All Around the World,” ft. YG and “Why You So Nasty,” ft. Travis Scott.

Born Jay Cummins, Jay 305 was raised by a Jamaican-immigrant single mother in the Crenshaw District of L.A., where he grew up on hip-hop heavyweights like N.W.A and Geto Boys. At age 11, his mother sent him to live with relatives in Miami in an effort to keep him off the streets, a move that eventually saw him serving time at a boot camp for troubled teens. Years after returning to L.A., Jay 305 began attending open mics at the Rap Pit, and soon started working on music of his own.

Jay 305’s most expansive work yet, Taking All Bets was both conceived and realized as a lifestyle album. “For me to write a song, I have to live the life,” he says. “I’m a mack with the ladies and a player in life, but I’m the big homey now so the wisdom and game that I have, I’m going to give you that, too.”
