LA8 Brings NYC to the Table for an Exclusive Video Premiere Dinner

Last night, Bronx-born, Jamaican-American rapper LA8 invited a select group of New York’s most influential media and industry insiders to an intimate dinner and video premiere, a night that blended music, conversation, and connection in the heart of Manhattan.
From the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere was set, cigars and the signature 8 Eye Mezcal cocktail in hand, each seat marked with a curated gift bag. It was an immersive experience designed to feel less like an industry event and more like a gathering among visionaries.

Over three courses, conversations moved beyond small talk. Journalists, editors, DJs, and brand representatives from outlets like HOT 97, REVOLT, and XXL shared thoughts on NYC’s evolving music scene, what makes an artist culturally relevant, and the kind of stories that still need to be told.

Right before the main course was served, LA8 took the floor to introduce his latest visual, a cinematic chapter from his upcoming project Kid in Da Cold. The video played to a room fully tuned in, with every frame a testament to his raw storytelling and the grit of his Bronx roots.
"This was about bringing people into my world", LA8 shared. "Not just to watch, but to understand where the music comes from, the life behind it".

The night ended over dessert and more conversation, with guests leaving full, not just from the food, but from the exchange of ideas and the energy in the room.
