Speaking on the link up with “Don P” Howl said “I met Prodigy at the Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival a few years back. We started the conversation about working on a track together. A few months later he was performing in Miami and I rolled to his show. After his set, we rolled to my studio and I played him the beat and we wrote and recorded it old school, right on the spot.”
This is the title track from Howl’s forthcoming full-length album Skillmatic, which will drop digitally on May 16th via his own Skillionaire Enterprises label. An east coast boom-bap affair of the highest order, the new album boasts several features from Master Fuol as well as such rhyme-vets as Prodigy (Mobb Deep), Sticky Fingaz (Onyx), U.G. (Cella Dwellas), Shabaam Sahdeeq, Meyhem Lauren, Spit Gemz, Rack Lo and more. Beats are also provided by Will Tell (Sadat X, R.A.
