“Money Bagz” was raised in Jamaica Queens, New York. He was brought up by a rapping mother who spit freestyle rhymes and wrote lyrics for other people. As a child growing up in a full house while deep into the streets, he decided he wanted to jump into the music industry. He first desired to be in the music industry because he always enjoyed listening to new music and watching the reaction of people dancing and having a good time to the music. He names lyricists Jay Z, Biggie, 50Cent, Eminem and Nas and his inspirations.
The first track Money Bagz ever recorded was in his grandmother’s basement with a karaoke machine. He wrote the lyrics and recorded it himself, starting off self made. After the first song, Money Bagz then decided he wanted to further his music career. Years later Money Bagz moved to Virginia with his family. He decided to take over the local area with his talents in Woodbridge. This led to Money Bagz having to battle local artist for respect and recognition. So now with his own recording equipment and niche for making cover designs on his computer, Money Bagz became well known in the area for his consistency and hard work he put in on the streets and the booth. Two years later Money Bagz moved again further to South Stafford. In order to make a name there, he battled every so called artist around the area and school embarrassing the competition. He then ignited on grind mode, relentlessly putting out mix tape after mix tape to prove he was here to stay. Still till this day, Money Bagz is grinding hard and only developing more and more into a well established artist............
Who is Money Bagz, and where are you from?
Money Bagz is an artist originally from Queens, NY residing in Northern Virginia
How did you discover your musical talent?
After recording my first song in the basement of my grandparents' house. It was just something I enjoyed doing, writing music and recording it. Painting a picture with words or thoughts.
Who has been your greatest inspiration musically and why?
I'm inspired by any artist that started from nothing and i can watch work his or her way to the top; that's enough motivation for me. Just seeing someone have the drive and start out grinding without being given anything and work their way up is inspiring. It shows me that anyone can do it and it just all depends on how bad you want to be successful
What do you feel you offer the music industry that we don't already have in other performers?
My style of music, my wordplay and my Hustle. I don't just want to make music, I would also like to venture off into other businesses in and out of the industry
