GRAMMY Award winning rap-icon Nas and DJ Premier two of the most influential and revered figures in hip-hop history dropped the new music video for "GiT Ready", directed by Jean Charles "JC" Charavin off their collaborative album Light Years.
The video was shot in New York and draws inspiration from contemporary architecture and the worlds of finance and technology. With a mature, elegant and powerful look, Nas and DJ Premier highlight the timeless strength of their collaboration capturing success through subtle details as they move effortlessly within a world where success is already established.
Last week, Nas released the Legend Has It.. Nas Feature Presentation-a curated digital and physical release highlighting all of Nas’ featured guest appearances across the classic Legend Has It album series. Inspired by the classic, raw Smack DVD culture of the early 2000’s, each track comes with exclusive commentary from Nas offering deeper insight into his collaborations on each album and also includes Nas’ original verse on "Omerta" from Raekwon’s The Emperor’s New Clothes.
Nas and DJ Premier closed out the Legend Has It… renaissance with the release of their highly anticipated collaborative album Light-Years via Mass Appeal. Light-Years is a 30-year working legacy reborn, further cementing their status as one of the greatest rapper-producer duos of all time.

Nas and DJ Premier’s partnership is embedded in the DNA of Hip-Hop. Their origin story began in 1994 with Illmatic, which resulted in hits such as "Memory Lane" and "Represent". Illmatic helped establish Nas as a generational talent and furthered Premier’s then burgeoning legacy. Their chemistry deepened over the next decade through classics like "I Gave You Power", "2nd Childhood", "Nas Is Like" and "N.Y. State Of Mind Pt. II".
