South London rapper and artist DC kicks off the new year with his single "Soldier". Blending razor focused bars with atmospheric production, the track further cements DC’s status as one of UK rap’s most distinctive and essential voices. Produced by Dom Valentino, recently highlighted by Dazed and CLASH as the UK’s "Secret Weapon" Valentino’s credits include Skepta’s Mercury Prize winning Konnichiwa, as well as work with Popcaan and Nia Smith.
Known for his sharp storytelling and grounded perspective, DC has been celebrated by key tastemakers including Hunger, CLASH, Notion, Wonderland, Complex and COLORS, while receiving continued radio support from BBC 1Xtra, Capital Xtra and Rinse FM.
The track arrives off the back of a major run for DC. Last year, he teamed up with TSB & Cristale for "PAP£R PLAN£$". Prior to that, he reignited momentum with "The Curb" featuring Blanco, later expanding the record’s reach with a European remix alongside JolaGreen (Paris) and Chivv (Amsterdam).
