West Coast veteran D-Shot has released the music video for "Take A Shot", a new single featuring rising artist Bagbaby Milli and produced by DJ Pain 1. Directed by longtime Bay Area visual collaborator Jae Synth, the clip captures the charged atmosphere of a late-night party pushed into overdrive by the song’s fast-paced production. "Take A Shot" revolves around an uptempo rhythm built on DJ Pain 1’s driving drums and 808-heavy backbone, creating a pulse that fuels the video from start to finish.
The visual drops viewers straight into a packed nightlife scene where the energy spikes each time the beat lands culminating in a crowd reaction comparable to the eruption inside Chase Center after a clutch Stephen Curry three. The release marks another chapter in D-Shot’s multi-decade run in West Coast music. A founding member of The Click alongside E-40, Suga-T, and B-Legit, D-Shot emerged during Vallejo’s influential 1990s movement under Sick Wid It Records. His work helped define the region’s distinctive sound, and in recent years he has continued collaborating with both established Bay Area figures and new voices.
Bagbaby Milli’s appearance adds a modern edge, reflecting the growing intersection between seasoned California artists and younger generations carving out their own lanes. Jae Synth, known for bringing cinematic flair to West Coast videos, amplifies the momentum with quick cuts, neon-lit club scenes, and a focus on the crowd’s escalating energy.
