Following the success of Ransom’s recent collaborative release with DJ Premier, The Reinvention, the acclaimed emcee now connects with Conductor Williams, one of the most innovative producers in modern hip-hop, for a project rooted in raw honesty, creative risk-taking, and sonic evolution.
The Uncomfortable Truth finds Ransom continuing to sharpen his blade. One of hip-hop’s most revered lyricists, Ran bares his soul, delivering depth and perspective that have made him a standout voice among his peers.

Conductor Williams, coming off his critically acclaimed Trainspotting project with Rome Streetz (Mass Appeal), continues to expand his distinctive production universe. A former train engineer turned Grammy Award-winning producer, Conductor’s story is one of persistence and purpose, blending blue collar work ethic with spiritual discipline. His sound, jagged, soulful, and fearless, has become a trademark heard across projects from Drake, J. Cole, Tyler, The Creator, Westside Gunn, Benny The Butcher, Conway The Machine, Joey Bada$$, Mach-Hommy, Boldy James, Russ, and JID, among others.
"My intention in working with Ran on this project was to put him in some different musical environments and provide some anthemic excitement. We both love the craft so much all I had to do was ask myself, as a big fan of Ransom, was, what would I want to hear Ran rap on then I just cooked from that place", Conductor Williams offered. "Ransom was a pleasure to produce for! Even at his level of acclaim, he was very coachable and took constructive criticism. When I work with an artist, rule #1 is that nobody is more important or better than the music. Death to ego every time I load up the drum machine and protocols".
