The Lionel D. Pickens Foundation, through the Chinx estate, invites families from all over to its annual turkey giveaway drive on Saturday, November 22nd, at 11:00 a.m. The drive will take place at the Food Universe building on 32-11 Beach Channel Drive in Far Rockaway, NY 11691.
Many families in the urban community are struggling to put meals on the table due to inflation and the prior government shutdown. So the foundation aims to make it easier for families to have a Happy Thanksgiving this holiday season.
Free turkeys and holiday essentials will be given away while supplies last. It’s given on a first come, first-served basis, no registration required. Visit TLDPF.org to make a donation or sign up to volunteer.
