AxL’s signature production drives "MOTORBIKE". Blending drill intensity and otherworldly energy, he crafts an anthemic backdrop for Haiti-born and Florida-based upstart Jackboy to ride full steam ahead. Strikingly, it showcases the nuances of his scorching style. In the accompanying music video, AxL and Jackboy take over the desert outside of Dubai, cruising in all-terrain dune buggies, convertibles, and absorbing the land’s untouched splendor as they turn up.

AxL invariably impacted the introduction and explosion of Brooklyn drill. He went from conjuring the beat for 22gz’s "Suburban" to architecting bangers for the likes of Drake, Travis Scott, Fivio Foreign, and, of course, Brooklyn’s own gone-too-soon great Pop Smoke. Along the way, he has received glowing praise from not only Pitchfork, but also W Magazine, Complex, and more.

About AxL

AxL has quietly shaped the American drill revolution all the way from the UK. The multiplatinum London-born 19-year-old producer went from cooking up beats on his phone and posting them to YouTube to architecting soundscapes for superstars a la Drake, the late Pop Smoke, Travis Scott, and Fivio Foreign. In 2018, he ignited Brooklyn Drill by cooking up the beat for 22gz’s “Suburban.” He went on to build a discography of bulletproof bangers, including Drake’s “War,” Fivio Foreign’s gold-certified “Big Drip,” Sheff G’s “No Suburban,” Smoove L’s “New Apollos,” and many more. Additionally, he contributed to a succession of #1 albums on the Billboard Top 200, producing “GATTI” [feat. Pop Smoke] on Travis Scott’s JACKBOYS, “Showin Off Pt. 2” [feat. Fivio Foreign] on Pop Smoke’s double-platinum Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon, "Clueless" [feat. Pop Smoke & Fivio Foreign] on Polo G’s platinum Hall Of Fame, and “Bout A Million” [feat. 21 Savage & 42 Dugg] on Pop Smoke’s Faith. In addition to major features from W Magazine and Complex, Pitchfork observed, “It took an unlikely producer from the international drill outpost of London to help the New York City borough’s street rap scene craft its own character.” Signing to Victor Victor in 2021, he officially makes his solo debut with the gassed-up, gritty, and adrenalized single “MOTORBIKE” [feat. Jackboy]. His influence will only continue to grow worldwide now.
