The fledgling UK rap duo Dizzle AP and T2Frank are setting up for a big year with ‘Maya Jama’, an on-the-money UK rap/drill banger that has all the trappings of a big summer hit.
"Maya Jama" is a jumpy and fast paced track that finds the rappers glazing a traditional drill-styled backdrop with an assertive flow, combining punchy lines that pertain to their lifestyle. and looking to drop a string of equally catchy bangers throughout the year, these talents have as much potential as they have ambition.
The star of the show, Luton born Dizzle AP has built up national awareness with his unique style of mixing hard hitting Drill production with the jumpy and fast Grime flow we all know and love. He’s been releasing music videos consistently since 2016 on top UK platforms such as GRM Daily, Mixtape Madness and Linkup TV. In 2018 Dizzle released his first mixtape '11' which featured Boy Better Know and grime pioneer Jammer and UK Rap veteran Benny Banks. This led to recognition from Julie Adenuga on Beats 1 Radio. The success of the tape led to impactful performances at Annie Mac's roundhouse, Mike Skinner's Tonga,Eskimo dance and many more. In 2019 Dizzle released his latest EP 'Silver Lining' which featured hit songs 'Cash Machine' and 'Life Of Mine'. the EP accumulated over 500,000 streams independently in the first month.
With this being both Dizzle and Frank's first release of the year, with plenty more in the works, ‘Maya Jama’ acts as a flag in the ground for their intentions for 2021. Sleep on them at your peril.
