SHECK WES TO RELEASE DEBUT PROJECT ‘MUDBOY’ THIS FRIDAY 10/5
CULTURAL PHENOM “MO BAMBA” HAS OVER 68 MILLION STREAMS

Harlem rapper Sheck Wes will release his highly anticipated debut project MUDBOY, this Friday, October 5, on Cactus Jack/ G.O.O.D. Music/ Interscope Records. The release date was unveiled last night by Sheck’s childhood friend and hit song namesake, Mo Bamba.

The project will feature Sheck’s cultural phenom, “Mo Bamba;” with over 68 million Spotify plays, the viral underground hit sits at #31 on the Billboard Hot 100 (its fifth week on the chart since debuting at #73 on 9/11,) and was just certified Gold by the RIAA. After landing in Spotify’s Today’s Top Hits last week, the song peaked at #8 on their U.S. Chart and #41 on the Global Chart. The New York Times deconstructed the song in their ‘Diary Of A Song’ feature.

Sheck is featured on “No Bystanders” alongside Juice WRLD, from Travis Scott’s Astroworld, and will be opening for Travis’ ‘Wish You Were Here’ North American tour this winter. Sheck has been taking his electrifying live performance across the country this summer, including appearances at Rolling Loud in Oakland and Miami, Made In America, Trillectro, and he even performed at LeBron James’ anniversary party. He has received critical acclaim from The New York Times, “How a SoundCloud Rap Track Goes Viral”, The Washington Post, “Did everyone go to Trillectro just to hear ‘Mo Bamba’?,” the FADER “Live Sheck Wes,” and more.
