Rich The Kid has released a video for his chart climbing single “Plug Walk.” Directed by DAPS and featuring the viral alien Lil Mayo, watch the video below. The track, produced by Lab Cook, was Zane Lowe’s “World Record” on his Beats 1 show on Apple Music on the day of its release, February 8. Less than a month later, “Plug Walk” sits at #69 on the Hot 100, #79 on Spotify’s US Top 200, #1 In Spotify’s Most Necessary Playlist and #25 on Apple Music’s Hip Hop Chart. On March 30, Rich The Kid will release his debut album The World Is Yours on Interscope Records/ Rich Forever Music. The New York-bred rapper currently has a second track from the album charting on the Billboard Hot 100; “New Freezer” ft. Kendrick Lamar at #46. The single quickly sparked the “New Freezer Challenge”—a viral dance competition where fans have been uploading videos swaying to the song's beat. Along with boosting streams of “New Freezer,” the ongoing viral craze has helped lift the track’s YouTube views to over 40 million.
Rich The Kid released his first solo EP, Flexin on Purpose, in 2014, featuring Fetty Wap, Ty Dolla $ign, and others. Over the next two years, he released his second project, Trap Talk, and launched his own imprint, Rich Forever Music. In June of 2017, Rich The Kid signed with Interscope Records and has since been featured in XXL, Complex and more. 2018 is going to be big year for the New York-bred rapper, as he gears up for the release what he’s called “the greatest album of 2018.”
