RELEASES NEW SINGLE, "ACCIDENTALLY ON PURPOSE"
Today, Truth Ali is excited to release his newest single “Accidentally On Purpose,” the first offering from his upcoming album The Wonder Years. Backed by a summer ready beat, “Accidentally On Purpose” is a super fun, bouncy track that showcases Truth’s explosive flow and intricate wordplay. Outlining a one night stand, “Accidentally On Purpose” effortlessly melds together lyrical hip hop with crossover production.
Truth Ali is a seasoned rapper coming out of San Diego by way of Bakersfield, California. He grew up surrounded by music, as his grandfather, Sunny Stokes, was a jazz and funk singer. Truth would go with him to band practice any chance he could and when Sunny passed away he told Truth to, “finish the last round.” Truth understood that his grandfather wanted him to finish the dream he had started.
Truth Ali moved to San Diego in 2011 to attend the Arts Institute, where he studied music production and composition. Truth's music education helped shape the way he began to look at music. When producing, he seeks to create a signature sound for each track that perfectly mirrors and enhances his lyricism. Truth eventually dropped out of school and shortly after survived a suicide attempt, but through this hardship, he stuck to music.
Truth Ali most recently made waves with his 2016 EP Joshua Trees. With features from Cyhi the Prynce, Royce da 5’9”, and Kxng Crooked, Joshua Trees received acclamations from the likes of HotNewHipHop, HipHopDX, Team BackPack, and more! Today, he’s excited to announce that his next full length project, The Wonder Years, will be available on September 22, 2017. Like the beloved show, Truth Ali takes listeners through a series of life defining moments.
