Born and raised in Surrey, B.C. in the 80's Citto Kain travelled back and forth to the Bay Area frequently to visit his exceptionally large family. It was in North California where he witnessed rappers and independent label owners selling music in the streets, and became inspired. He was passionate about skateboarding, graffiti, and rap, but being of Indian descent, took a lot of criticism from his peers in his pre teens, It never held him back. With his charm and infectious personality he was able to make other’s to see things from his perspective. "Surrey in the 90’s seeing an Indian kid on skateboard and listening to punk rock and rap was a culture shock ,so I would give them a chance to get to know me than I would show them what it all about. I really am a pioneer for always doing my own thing, and people respect me for it".
Growing up, many of the early role models he looked up to were street hustler’s, driving fancy cars and playing with large amounts of money. He picked-up on the hustle and followed suit in his early teens. It would not be long before he'd experienced the good, the bad, and the ugly that came with the streets. It was in early 2002 when he realized that the fast life wasn’t last forever and discovered music was his calling. He started selling mixtape’s and street’s out of his trunk under the brand name MIXCARTEL, and began hanging more with friends who were establishing themselves in music and fashion. He began learning the music business, travelled through North America, Japan and parts of Europe to showcase talent, sold thousands of mix tapes, and toured with Ephin and the Stompdown Killaz gaining valuable knowledge and contacts in the business along the way.
In 2010, he started independent recording label Flight Academy Music, releasing various projects with local artists such as Caspian and Joey Stylez. By 2014, he'd released 4 major projects, established himself as a savvy business man, and talented producer with an ear for music. On September 15th 2016, his plan finally comes to Fruition. This is only the beginning.
