We've heard about the West End of Toronto through the likes of PartyNextDoor, but in his latest EP, Mekhi takes listeners on a trip to the East End - specifically, the Galloway community that's had its fair share of hardships and struggles, but remains resilient in the most bitter storms. In the 11-track project, which includes singles "Oh My" and Mekhi tells a self-produced story about a two decade journey to the man, and artist, he's become.
"This is a reflection of where I am as an artist, I'm 20 years old, finally discovering my voice and carving out my own lane and paying homage to the borough that created me. Me and my friends made all of the beats so the entire recording process was very organic and natural. This project is meant to serve as a piece of art for all listeners to enjoy."
