Ex-American Idol/YouTube Stars Collaborate On Music Video Of Kaya Stewart's "In Love With a Boy"
The StarMaker Network brought in Ex-American Idol/Youtube stars Alex Hobbs and Ciatu Kromah
for this Collab Lab cover of Kaya Stewart's top 40 hit "In Love With A
Boy." The two artists truly make it their own bringing a soulful and
sultry yet gritty and more melodic vibe that lights a whole new kind of
fire under the original song.
The
alluring video shows the singers as two young singles, separated by the
shared wall of an apartment building. The recording and video –
produced by leading New Media and Artist Development company StarMaker
as part of its Collab Lab series – highlights the two up-and-coming
artists, performing the song as a duet, each from their own perspective.
Alex
is a Los Angeles native who has been recording originals and covers on
YouTube for almost 10 years. Ciatu’s heritage is West African and she
currently lives in North Carolina. Both artists were part of the same
season of American Idol, each being selected for Hollywood Week, but
only met after joining StarMaker to develop their musical careers.
