1. Penny Tha Great, you just dropped a video for Hotboxin. What is the concept behind that video?
The concept was pretty much just me having a good time. Lots of colors, a few chicks and the homeys. i Wanted the effects to match the song
2. Penny Tha Great, what do you feel the record hotboxin, brings different to the music industry and what does it bring to Arizona music?
I think "Hotboxin" brings the lyrics to the club. You dont hear too many mainstream songs that have a lyrical appeal with a club sound.As far as Arizona is concerned, I've never heard a record like Hotboxin come out of AZ
3. Penny Tha Great, if you were to do a remix for hotboxin. What three female rappers would you put on the remix and why?
Nikki Minag, Iggy and Jhene Aiko...that would be crazy lol. I would put Nikki and iggy on it because they are the biggest female artists and I would put Jhene on it because Jhene is BAD and this will be my way of making her my boo boo lol.
4. Penny Tha Great, you just dropped the "You All Can Die Now" project. What is the concept behind this project and how long did it take you to record this project? It took maybe a little over a year to put out this album. The Artwork and concept is a little dark and gritty. The music itself is real musical and i tell alot of stories so it is definitely something that will keep a listener listening
5. Penny Tha Great, you are a fairly new artist. But you are all over the big blogs. How were you about to move within the industry so fast and what are the pro's and con's of moving so fast?
Just knowing the right people. Networking is the key. I dont really see any cons of moving fast. The faster you get to the money the better in my opinion
6. Penny Tha Great, do you plan on touring to promote "You All Can Die Now" and how important is it to do shows outside of your home marketplace?
I do plan on touring. That is currently in the works and i feel it is very important. This is one way to get your music outside of your local market and expand.
7. What are you currently working on and what can we expect next from Penny Tha Great?
I have an album I am working on with a very talented producer named Hexsagon and i look to release that between Febuary and March. The album itself will have no samples so its gonna all original sounds. I am also working on a concept album with Megaran and Slopfunkdust that will be releasing around that same time well. So I keep pretty busy
