April 25, 2014 - Washington, DC: DMV Area Native 'Track releases the introductory video from his official debut project “Above the Rim” entitled “Parables.” In this visual for "Parables" director Sean Ly transposes scenes from the classic motion picture as 'Track conveys his personal outlook on the journey, hardships, successes, valleys and peaks that made his official debut release finally possible. 'Track enlists a nostalgic but fresh groove from Cali producer Esta as the backdrop for this Parable.

Known to keep a composition notebook in his back pocket since middle school, 'Track decided in 2012 that he wouldn't be the playground legend that never made it to the league. He launched a weekly campaign akin to Kanye's Good Fridays entitled 'Track Tuesdays which built his buzz as a respected lyricist within the DMV. Soon 'Track found himself among Oddisee, Phil Ade & Fat Trel on Brightest Young Things' Top 25 DMV Artists to Watch in 2013. Then 'Track turned up the heat with an onslaught of captivating videos; the first being a collaboration with Complex Mag featured, DC area outfitter The Good Kin entitled "Mr Freeze". 

 

After stealing the show on the popular posse cut, there was no looking back. 'Track then took the time to craft his first project Above the Rim which draws inspiration from the 1994 classic film starring 2Pac & Marlon Wayans. The compilation showcases 'Track collaborating with both acclaimed DC area producers & cherry picking instrumental project gems from the likes of !llmind, Flying Lotus, Esta, Like & Cardo. The DC area original producer lineup boasts T-Mos (2010 National Red Bull Big Tune producer competition finalist), close collaborator TASK[productions], Blvck Rose, Joon, PrahDiJay & Vo. Atop this cohesive sound-bed, 'Track shares personal tales of artistic ambition, failed romance, summer fun & how he's determined to learn from the tribulations of Thomas Shepard.
