Soul Path Productions is casting for the non-union stageplay Footies. An
original dramedy written and produced by Robert Brotha Blaze Murray.
Directed by Diemiruaya O. Deniran. Rehearsals are scheduled to begin in
early November and performances are slated for January depending on
readiness of cast and crew.
Seeking: DARNELL JOHNSON: Main character. African American who can pass
for 25 and act childish and mature. Has medical condition that keeps him
childlike. DR. JOHN MILLS: close family friend. A cerebral professor
and author in mid fourties. PHILLIP GREGORY: early 30 minority who
recovered from Darnell`s condition and wants to help. POOH SMITH: hot
head thug in his erly 20`s. Lacks morals and loves street life. FELICIA
MILLS: barbie doll type in her early 40`s. Appears the bougie trophy
wife but is a woman of substance. TINA JAMES: the drop dead gorgeous,
coke bottle bodied men-all-pause type. Business owner who gets what she
wants.
Auditions will be held at the New Africa Center 4243 Lancaster Ave
Philadelphia Pa. 19104 on Sunday Oct. 28th from 12 noon to 4 PM. Bring
headshot or at least a close-up photo. Actors will not be considered for
casting by forwarding resumes and not showing up to the audition. Be
prepared to do a cold read and improv. Actor contracts to be negotiated
