1) Who is Darkskin and where are you from?
Ima young Cincinnati nigga just on his business. Trying to make my visit in this world as comfortable as possible and have fun doing it.
2) What does HipHop mean to you?
Hip Hop Music feeds the soul...and Im good at making it. The art and beauty of the melodies just keep me grounded.
3) What do you think about the state of HipHop?
I personally think it's never been better....right now it's open game so anybody can grab the spotlight at any given time.
4) Who are some of your favorite MC'S?
I have so many. From 2pac and Bone to Devin the Dude and Master P
5) Who rules, old school or New school Rappers?
Neither...its more about whos relevant at the time. The world changes with a wind blow so it's always a new trend.
6)Do you think there is a difference between a Rapper and an MC?
Of course. Rappers are everywhere...anybody that can speak on a track is a rapper. But to be a MC takes a lot more emotion and deep searching of thoughts.
7)How long have you been on the Mic and when did it truly become your passion?
Going on 12 years now...I just started off kinda battle rapping and I got good at my craft enough to take it to the next level.
8)Tell us about your mixtapes out now and whats to come?
I just dropped "The Preview" early May, hosted by my boy Dj Grady. I got a couple new joints dropping with a lot of other artist too. It's coming together well.
9) Any other passion or interest beside music?
Food...I enjoy cooking a good meal anyday...got some mean skills in that kitchen.
10)Any advice to the youth who may be headed down a negitive path?
Ask questions and seek advice at all times. Dont ever be jammed into a corner and not know what to do...always have a person you can turn to.
11) What type/style of rapper would you consider yourself?
I have no style ...I just hear the record and I respond accordingly.
12) What would you like to accomplish in the next 5 years?
I want to slowly work my way into film and directing...I can see myself working good in that field.
