The longest of journeys starts with a first step, and since taking his first steps toward being a musician by entering into the recording booth at age 12, Daveed has been persistent in his pace. It has been a rollercoaster of persistence, heartbreak, success, and struggles. Every experience along the road to greatness has made him who he is. How can one put emotion into his music and writing if he has never had to deal with a problem or setback in life? Emotion, feeling, passion, respect, realness, and honesty mean everything when it comes to writing music and rapping, which is reflected deeply in his work. With all of these qualities, combined with an abundance of natural talent, constant hard work, determination, and the support of family and friends, Daveed is steady on the course to become Hip Hop's next Leader of the New School.
With the music industry experiencing a drought in originality and creativity, this 20 year old Brooklyn native and Hip Hop artist/actor is leading the way with his clever and catchy lyrics, enchanting and charismatic personality, and devoted passion to his craft. Daveed is highly influenced by musical powerhouses including but not limited to Jay-Z, Nas, Notorious B.I.G, Tupac, LL Cool J, Kanye West, and Andre 3000.
As an actor Daveed has established himself as a swiftly rising and eminent force in the TV, commercial, and film industry. He has been casted for and secured roles in a football and Dominos commercial, shows such as “The Sopranos” and “Ugly Betty”, and movies such as 50 Cent's “Get Rich or Die Tryin'”, “Tenure” starring Luke Wilson, and the AMC independent film “Cost of a Soul”.
His ability to stand out lyrically from other artists is evident by the response to his current single “WILDEST DREAMS”, and is consistent within every track he delivers. Daveed is currently working on his new street album titled “EST IN 91”, the window through which he really opens up and and allows the world to see who he truly is, as well as embracing his audience. Daveed is a natural-born star on the rise to dizzying new heights. He says:
“I have wasted so much time trying to satisfy everybody else's needs and be what they wanted me to be. I have finally found my comfort zone and I am comfortable in my own skin.
