Nigerian rapper and songwriter Shallipopi makes a bold return with his brand-new single "Na So", out now via Since ’93.
Na So, an affirmative term rooted in Shallipopi’s hometown of Benin City, brings amapiano influences together with his trademark confidence and swagger. Teased in July through a slick black-and-white clip of Shallipopi and his crew, the track quickly gained traction across Instagram and TikTok, sparking almost 100K creations and inspiring a dialogue-style trend built around its lyrics. Following weeks of hunger for the track, "Na So" arrives with an official release.
The single follows the success of Shallipopi’s smash hit Laho, which has generated more than 130M global streams across its three iterations. Collaborating with African giant Burna Boy and Puerto Rican powerhouse Rauw Alejandro, Shallipopi has been cementing his reputation as one of the most exciting artists to emerge from Africa in recent years.
Currently, Shallipopi is on tour across Canada, following electrifying performances at Afro Nation and Recessland. Adding to his momentum, he recently announced a partnership with BoohooMAN, with his debut collection launching in late August.
