Houston based rising R&B artist Dende has shared his single, "The Louvre", featuring Swedish GRAMMY nominated artist LUCIIA. Available now on all streaming platforms via Def Jam, the track marks Dende’s major label debut.
Produced by Dende’s longtime collaborator Billy Blunt and co-producer Maleík Loveridge, with songwriting contributions from GRAMMY nominated DAB (Lucky Daye, Kehlani, Beyoncé), "The Louvre" is a soulful anthem that compares a newfound love to a priceless masterpiece. The song’s vivid imagery evokes inspiration from legendary artists like Basquiat, as Dende reflects on how love can reignite creativity and bring color back into a once-muted world.
Dende explains that the song is about discovering inspiration in someone else, reigniting feelings of joy and creativity that had been lost. He describes working with LUCIIA in the Def Jam studio as a special experience, resulting in a track that he calls "a masterpiece".
Known for blending early 2000s R&B with raw, personal storytelling, Dende has been steadily making waves in the music scene. His recent EP "Wish You Were Here" earned praise from major outlets, and his previous releases have accumulated millions of streams. With over 400K monthly Spotify listeners and recognition from Billboard, REVOLT, and more, Dende was named one of Complex’s 2024 Artists to Watch. "The Louvre" solidifies his standing among the next generation of R&B stars.
