Miami-based rapper DFils (pronounced Dee-Feels) has just dropped his highly anticipated debut EP "TEMPO". The EP features standout tracks like "All About You" featuring Jon Rise, "Go Dumb" featuring Simon Said, and the brand new single "Tempo" produced by REE.
DFils draws inspiration from his French-Haitian roots, infusing his music with vibrant Latin and Caribbean rhythms. With his distinctive voice and infectious melodies, he's been likened to chart-topping artists such as Lil Mosey and The Kid Laroi.
The lead single, "All About You", released on July 7th, 2022, received widespread international acclaim, garnering support from over 300 radio stations worldwide. It made waves in the German radio charts and earned placements on Revolt.TV and Trace TV playlists, as well as entering the Music Week Black Music charts in the UK.
Following the success of "All About You", DFils dropped "Racks In Safe", a Jersey Club-inspired single that reached #5 on the UK Music Week Black Music charts and #12 on the German Urban Club charts. This track showcases his unique blend of pop influences and Afro-American culture, reminiscent of an American big band arrangement.
Last November, DFils embarked on a US tour, hitting up six major cities including Washington DC, NYC, Atlanta, Miami, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas, thrilling audiences with his electrifying performances.
Continuing his momentum, DFils collaborated with rap-star lyricist Simon Said on the track "Go Dumb". Said, known for his work with heavyweights like Drake, 21 Savage, and Don Toliver, adds another layer of dynamism to the EP.
The EP's title track, "Tempo", produced by REE, showcases DFils' lyrical ability as he paints vivid pictures of Miami nightlife over an infectious beat. With REE's production credits including names like Pharrell Williams and Kanye West, "Tempo" solidifies DFils' position at the forefront of the Miami rap scene.
