This EP marks Amirah’s inaugural body of work, inviting listeners into the unfiltered musings of a young woman on the cusp of adulthood, navigating the realms of love and self-discovery. With standout tracks like the infectious "Tokio", which premiered exclusively on Teen Vogue, the powerful title track "Wish It Wasn't You", and the empowering anthem "Beautiful", this remarkable 6-song collection, overseen by executive producer Mustard, boasts rich harmonies and captivating melodies destined to captivate audiences of all generations.

Amirah's musical journey is a testament to her resilience and tenacity. Beginning piano lessons at the age of 3 and making her solo debut with the church choir at 7, she has consistently pursued her passion for music. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, which brought the world to a standstill, Amirah leveraged platforms like TikTok to showcase her talent. Her first video, posted in March 2021, garnered widespread attention, accumulating over 11 million views within three months. This viral success ultimately led to her signing with Mustard’s esteemed label, 10 Summers/Interscope Records, a mere six months later.
