LG (Team Genius) Celebrates Hip-Hop Culture in New Music Video For "Drippin"

Philly rapper LG (Team Genius) has released the music video for her newest track "Drippin". Filmed in the streets of Los Angeles, the self-directed video features colorful dance sequences, with LG performing the song from a classic cherry red convertible. LG describes the track as a song that encapsulates what it means to be fully immersed in hip-hop culture:

"To me "Drippin" isn’t just about being fly, or having dope swag, but it’s about being a product of the hip-hop community. When you embody hip-hop, you don’t just feel it, you become it, and you sprinkle it everywhere you go! You are literally "Drippin" in culture". - LG (Team Genius)

"Drippin" is the follow up to LG’s previous single, "YBM" (Young Black Militia). Like "YBM", "Drippin" has made waves across various platforms and has garnered attention from BET Jams and MTV. LG has also been featured on BET's Fresh Face Friday.

After relocating from Philadelphia to Los Angeles in 2019, there’s no question LG has literally "Put the Work In" like the title of her first song to be featured in a major trailer for Valorant Act Battle 3, one of the top ten video games in the world during 2020. It wasn’t long before LG was named "The Face" of sync and licensing following her 2020 and 2021 hot streak. In just a few months, LG’s music has been used in promo trailers by Xbox, Netflix, Disney, Nickelodeon, Apple Arcade, Hulu and more.

While her music has capturing beats and dynamic sounds, LG’s music is a reminder that every step is an opportunity to succeed.
