EST Gee Surges To Top 10 On Billboard 200 With 'Bigger Than Life Or Death' Mixtape


EST Gee secured his first-career, Top-10 appearance on the Billboard 200 chart with his debut label mixtape, Bigger Than Life Or Death, which was released via CMG/Warlike/Interscope Records.

The project surged to No. 7 on the chart, moving over 30,000 total copies and increasing SEA units by 137% and album sales by 219% since just last week. Thus far, it has impressively gathered over 30 million streams to date as he continues to average north of 3.2 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Upon its release, Bigger Than Life Or Death captured No. 1 on Apple’s All Genre chart and you can stream the project below.


Most recently, Gee dropped the music video for “Riata Dada” – the opening song on the project – and it’s already closing in on 1 million YouTube views. Inciting tastemaker applause, UPROXX hailed it as “a bass-heavy, clamoring banger featuring his favorite things,” and REVOLT claimed it “sees the Louisville, KY star offering a proper introduction for anyone who’s not familiar with his epic status.”

Last month, Gee made his major festival debut at Rolling Loud: Miami, where he performed several songs from Bigger Than Life Or Death and performed alongside labelmate 42 Dugg. He is also set to perform at Rolling Loud: New York and Rolling Loud: California as well as Made In America.

Bigger Than Life Or Death marks Gee’s label debut and the project was jam-packed with star-studded collaborations from Lil Baby, Future, Yo Gotti, Young Thug, Lil Durk, 42 Dugg, Rylo Rodriguez, and Pooh Shiesty.

The mixtape went on to receive acclaim from several media outlets including XXL, OkayPlayer, BrooklynVegan, Complex, Fader and more. It also received rave reviews from VIBE who acclaimed “...the Louisville native shines on this outing, as well as the entirety of his new project…” and Stereogum who recognized “Even with all those big stars on the album…Bigger Than Life Or Death never loses its sense of personality.” Gee was also recognized by Billboard who crowned him as “July’s R&B/Hip-Hop Rookie of the Month.”
