OMB Bloodbath Pays Homage to Houston Roots with 'Blood Sample' EP

OMB Bloodbath (10:22PM/LVRN/Interscope) releases her latest offering Blood Sample that pays homage to her Houston roots with the original 713 area code. The 5-track EP includes the recently released single "Don’t Do It".

Featuring five new tracks, Bloodbath offers an inside look as she paints a raw and authentic picture of her reality. Opening with “77004,” Bloodbath pairs melodic piano with heavy bass and forceful lyrics, embodying the rapper’s narrative as a force to be reckoned with. Transitioning into “Don’t Do It,” the triumphant beat and repetitive refrain mimics the feel of a sports chant building the hype and anticipation for what’s to come later in the project. Maintaining the pace, “Eat Up Da Drip” features her signature hard-hitting flow as she flexes the hard-earned drip she has worked for in her young career.

Moving into the second half of the project, the surreal tone of “Swiss Cheese” integrates the intensity of Bloodbath’s struggles and rise as an artist. Closing out the EP, “Not Gang” featuring street rapper EST Gee tackles Bloodbath’s image as a Houston rapper associated with all things ‘rap culture’. As she continues to break barriers, Blood Sample shows there is so much depth to her story and the Third Ward community she represents as an artist and humanitarian.

About OMB Bloodbath:

Representing Houston’s historic Third Ward, OMB Bloodbath is in a class of her own. While 2020 was a wild ride for everyone, it was OMB Bloodbath’s pivotal year. The release of “Dropout” with fellow Houston star Maxo Kream fanned the flames for what was to come. The song cracked 750K organic views in no time on YouTube and is currently inching towards a million. “For us to be seeing that success together is amazing to me,” she says of her work with Maxo Kream. “He was the first to make it and stretch his hand back out and show me love.” Her hustle paid off, when Blood secured a deal with 10:22 PM and Love Renaissance (LVRN), in partnership with Interscope Records. “My whole hood is rooting for me, my city’s rooting for me. I’m just taking in every moment of it, working hard, and keeping it going,” she explains.
