The project title, Ahki Manteca is a play on a combination of arabic and Spanish language and an ode to the Moors in Spain. "Ahki" meaning "Brother" in Arabic and "Manteca" meaning "dope" in Spanish slang, making the translation for Ahki Manteca is "brother dope" or "the brother is dope." This not only the inspiration behind the character portrayed in the music, but also the motivation behind one of the newest and most popular muslim urban clothing brands that has taken over the scene in recent months.
