EDGEWOOD BY ATLANTA RAPPER TROUBLE OUT NOW
MIXTAPE FEATURES ACCLAIMED NEW SINGLE “REAL IS RARE (EDGEWOOD)”
Edgewood, the new mixtape from Atlanta rapper Trouble, is out now. Released via Ear Drummer Records/Interscope Records, Edgewood features appearances by Drake, The Weeknd, Quavo, Fetty Wap, Low Down Dirty Black, Boosie Badazz, and Ear Drummer Records founder Mike WiLL Made-It.
Last week, Trouble released “Real Is Rare (Edgewood),” a Mike WiLL Made-It-produced track featured on Edgewood. Pitchfork hailed the single as “a screed on authenticity and legitimacy” that delivers one of Mike WiLL Made-It’s “trickiest beats in recent memory…As the production shimmers around Trouble on ‘Real Is Rare (Edgewood),’ he lays down his credo, and it was worth the wait.”
Trouble recently signed a joint venture with Interscope Records and Ear Drummer Records, home to platinum-selling, award-winning hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd. In commenting on the signing, Mike WiLL Made-It named Trouble “the only person from the city who’s going to give you that raw, pure, honest, real rap, mixed with originality, new flavor, new flows, and new lingo. He has the grind, work ethic, and dedication to back it up and the city knows.”
Edgewood also features the recent single “Bring It Back,” a collaboration between Trouble, Drake, and Mike WiLL Made-It. Released in December, “Bring It Back” merges its minimalist production with what HotNewHipHop calls “a screeching, wobbly beat that still feels supremely trap.”

Born Mariel Semonte Orr, Trouble began rapping at age 14 and soon joined the roster of Atlanta-based label Duct Tape Entertainment. At 23, he released his debut mixtape December 17th, which appeared on Complex’s “25 Best Mixtapes of 2011” list. December 17th included Trouble’s breakthrough single “Bussin’,” whose remix featured Yo Gotti, Waka Flocka Flame, and Trae Tha Truth.
In 2013, Trouble landed on XXL’s “15 Atlanta Rappers You Should Know” list and released his acclaimed mixtape The Return of December 17th (which Uproxx described as offering “honesty and straightforward tales from the streets over no holds barred beats”). Trouble’s previous releases also include 2015’s Skoob Fresh, 2016’s Skoobzilla, and 2017’s 16, a six-track EP 16 delivering the hit single “Brick” (feat. Skippa Da Flippa).
