Paul Georges (born June 25, 1994), better known by his stage name D1H (Day 1 Hustler) Polo, is an American rapper of hatian descent. In October 2017, D1H released his 1st single, Myself- #neverseenitcoming
Early Life
Paul Georges is the youngest of 13 siblings. His father passed when he was 2 years old leaving his mother to raise him and his siblings in Fort Lauderdale (Broward County), FL. He attended several schools in Broward County with South Plantation high school being the last one he attended.
Career Inspiration
In 2016, D1H Polo had a dream that he had a song playing on the radio. The very next day, he made his first attempt at song writing. Initially, his songs were very similar to those of which were on the radio. However, he was supported and encouraged by his siblings to maintain his originality. As a result, D1H Polo 1st hit single, Myself, gives listeners just that. D1H Polo signature sound brings his original vibe and sauce to the music industry.
Story behind rapper name
Since the early age of 13, D1H Polo had to find ways to make ends meet. His mom did the best she could but she could only do so much. He saw all the other kids who had everything they wanted and not having the same, sparked a drive within him to become a “hustler”. He initiated his entrepreneurial skills by cutting grass, but the money was coming in too slow. As a result of this, D1H Polo began hustling in the streets. One day, D1H Polo came home with a lot of money. One of his nephews were inspired by his “go getter” mentality so told him that he was a true “day 1 hustler”. That very conversation stuck with him as it perfectly reflected his lifestyle so it’s been “D1H Polo” ever since.
Some of his influences are but not limited to, Chance The Rapper, Young Thug, Lil Uzi Vert and Young Dolph.
