Brooklyn Born - North Carolina transplant, Jalissa Coppage a.k.a Juju is a talented songwriter and skillful lyricist. Through her music Juju “strives to give a voice to the voiceless” spitting conscious lyrics inspired by personal experiences and the experiences of those in her community. Recently named WorldStarHipHop's "Female Talent of the Week" and a viral victory with her widely shared freestyle over Mobb Deep's Quiet Storm, Juju has amassed a strong following and received over 3.6 million video views to date.
Her newest release "Don't Take It Personal" uses Monica's sample of the 90s R&B Billboard hit. Not only does the song, take you down memory lane, but the modern twist keeps you just as interested. JuJu hails out of Brownsville, Brooklyn and has had aspirations of becoming a rapper since a young age. The beautiful lyricist moved to North Carolina to focus on her career. Back in the booth, she was recently named "World Star Hip Hop's" female talent of the week. She's also joined forces with NY's 550 Format Records and production company. Together, they are preparing to release a string of hits and freestyles closing out 2017. Within her music, you can tell she's inspired by Lauryn Hill and Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, as she embodies female empowerment and spirituality through her storytelling.
