sOuL from the O - "Hand Ova Fist" Video | @sOuL11525 @IStillLoveHER

Hand Ova Fist is the first single off of sOuL from the O’s forthcoming album “Contraband Mixtape” a pounding track (beat borrowed from Brenk Sinatra’s “Tryin” / Gumbo 2: Pretty Ugly album) Hand Ova Fist weaves a lyrical tale about being on the run from the police, and the video follows the pursuit of sOuL from the O running through streets, alleyways, parks and a myriad of landscapes towards freedom. The visuals and lyrics are equally supported in this chase as sOuL from the O drops lines that describe the scene in vivid detail:
“Trees over bushes over fences as a I crawl
Splash through the puddles just to throw off all the dogs
Beads of sweat to my neck lungs hurtin’ from that Indo
I jump up in the bucket dip below the window
Twist the green and red hear the footsteps near
Burn the starter give it gas, first and second third gear
Break the column as I whip it I get away the best
Broke parole stolen car, resist arrest
It’s just another day in the life that they created
Then to villainize, justify why they hate it…
Them cats coming fast how we gonna make it: Hand over hand fist over fist/ Footsteps in the dark how we gonna take it: Hand over hand fist over fist”
Hip-Hop fans who love lyrical storytelling and great production will thoroughly enjoy sOuL from the O’s Hand Ova Fist track. Check out the video and free download below.

About sOuL from the O

Nobody gave sOuL from the O permission to make his brand of hip-hop, and he likes it this way. Sometimes eclectic, sometimes fierce, pounding on the doors of the establishment, he has been on a collision course for expanding the boundaries of contemporary music for some time now. Releasing his first album in the early 2000's A World Without End showcased sOuL from the O's own beats with the collaborative mix of live musicians, recorded in a day; this combination brought forth a steady stream of live performances with his 4 piece band in and around the California Bay Area. In 2006 came sOuL's 12” vinyl offering: Body in the Trunk (A side) and As I Walk (B Side) circulated amongst local, national and international DJ's along with numerous free downloads on the internet. This single was the setup for the long awaited 2011 EP release: The Unspoken Word - which pushed his creative capabilities further by showcasing a wide array of topics (social, political, the serious and the funny). Now sOuL from the O is ready to drop another album Contraband Mixtape on October 6th 2016 which aims to continue the evolution of his creative expansion. Stay tuned...
