Maryland-bred, Los Angeles-based emcee E Reece and DJ/producer duo Beat Ventriloquists presents "Dance Live Party", featuring JimiJames. "Dance Live Party" appears on New Life, Reece's collaboration EP with Beat Ventriloquists that remixes some of Reece's favorite songs from his catalog. The EP features four new remixes ("The Owner," "This Is," "How We Do" & "Fly Hi"), two previously released remixes ("Success [Keep On Rising]" & "Breakthrough") and two new original songs ("Dance Live Party" & "Mood Swing"). 2015 saw the release of a music video for "Success (Keep On Rising)" (watch). Reece has collaborated with Mayer Hawthorne, Oddisee, DJ Rhettmatic and Kev Brown, and has opened for Pete Rock and CL Smooth and Talib Kweli. His music has appeared in 2K Sports’ College Basketball ’08, Oxygen’s Bad Girls Club, E!’s Keeping Up With The Kardashians, and MTV’s The Real World. Also an actor and model, he’s worked the runway for Alvin King in DC and NYC, Travis Winkey in Baltimore, and was featured in Floetry’s “Say Yes” music video, as well as Adrian Younge’s video for “Stop and Look”. "It's been a long time coming that me and Beat Ventriloquists put out an official project together," Reece says. "They've done a lot of remix work for me over the years and we've always talked about putting something out together. Time finally permitted us to begin that process mid last year. They cooked up four new remixes for me and we went in on two new original songs as well and added on a couple of remixes that were already released to come up with the album. We actually only had to go back and forth on one song to decide which version we liked better. All of the other songs were just smashes from the jump. We took our time with the mixing and mastering process cause we wanted to get the songs sounding just right. Overall it took about six months of work, but I'm really happy with the outcome. The album is a blend of genres that I know not only hip hop heads will feel, but music lovers in general will be able to appreciate and get into!" New Life is out now.
