CITIZEN KAY Announces 'Our World' Tour

2015 was a big year for CITIZEN KAY - he released his debut album WITH THE PEOPLE. An album with its heart in Hip-Hop and its soul in Soul. An album of craft and vision travelling through musical passions, life experiences and insights, crammed with soulful hip-hop moods, grooves of funk, dexterous wordplay and reflective rhymes. WITH THE PEOPLE confirmed the undeniable presence of CITIZEN KAY on the music map.

The first single WAX ON WAX OFF set the mood and the follow up LIFE GIVES YOU LEMONS confirmed it, honking sax riff over a pumping funk back beat, it was in the pocket and on national playlists faster than you could say guacamole (see film clip!). LEMONS then received the big band treatment on a slamming session on tripleJ’s ‘Like A Version’. The cover version turned out to be a monster in sound and popularity meshing the Commodores, Kanye & Mark Ronson for a fresh take on UPTOWN FUNK.

CITIZEN KAY recently completed the Illy national tour which joined the list of previous notable excursions Wiz Khalifa, Earl Sweatshirt & Danny Brown, Run The Jewels, Ice Cube, Public Enemy and Seth Sentry.

For the new single OUR WORLD a run of shows are in place. Presented by Select Music and Asphalt Records, CITIZEN KAY will be supported by special guests and GENESIS OWUSU, tripleJ High School Finalist who has just released his new single DRIVE SLOW from his forthcoming debut EP.
