Brooklyn Rapper Mar-Q Compares The Hilarious Antics and Antidotes Of Women In Young Chick Old Chick
In a world of social media driven relationships, sexting, reality TV stars and new school vs. old school, Brooklyn rapper Mar-Q has delivered a hilarious, yet insightful take on the difference between the younger and older generation of women in 2015.
"I wrote Young Chick Old Chick because once I hit my mid 20's, I started dating woman from ages 20 to 40 years old, I was caught right in the middle of an acceptable dating pool. The differences in their personalities would always make me laugh. To me, this song is a truthful observation of woman and a representation of what men go though as we get older."
Celebrating the release of Young Chick Old Chick, Mar-Q will be headlining Brooklyn's Next Up concert November 21st at Kinamn Lounge in New York.
New York native and independent rap artist Mar-q has been fascinated by the word play and lyrical flow of hip hop since before he entered high school. Born Marquis Moorer, Mar-q was given his stage name by his mother after deciding to have a more authentic approach to his music.
Influenced by artist from the same New York streets as himself such as Jay-Z, Nas and Cam’ron, the ability to tell stories through rhymes and touch others with music is what fuels Mar-q’s passion for hip hop.
Fresh off of the 2015 Hot 97 Summer Jam stage performing along side Charles Halmiton, Mar-Q is ready to put in the work to proclaim his spot as an iconic hip hop artist.
Releasing his first hit single Smoking and Drinking featuring female emcee Nitty Scott, this sultry jam landed a world premiere via World Star Hip Hop earlier this year.
New music including features and hot singles off of the upcoming EP Dr. Minus, inspired by his alter ego that personifies his lucid pessimistic personality are expected for release early 2016.
