Troy Bellow was born in Hartford Connecticut and after living in Barbados for 2 years, he and his family moved to Florida where he has lived since then. When it comes to HIP-HOP, he considers himself an architect, a true master that been rhyming words and syllables for a century beyond the lifetimes man can fathom. There was a time in his life, when he had given up on music.
“Since I'm not making any RAP MONEY; FUCK THIS SHIT.”
He went on a hiatus from the rap game for 3 years only to
realize after giving up, the best thing about himself was his music and
message. He had realized that making music was his gift from God and it is the
one thing that he is great at. Not everyone is blessed with a spiritual and
intelligent mind and not everyone is blessed with the will to use it for the
greater good.
“How could I have been so stupid? Now I'm back with
vengeance, and this time, it’s to the death!”
He currently goes by “Troy Bellow the Profit” because his
belief is that there are no more Prophets and that Prophet Muhammad was the last
this world will see; hence the ironic use of the word “Profit” in his alias. In
turn, he came to be a profit to the people; a benefit to Hip Hop and its
culture. His style is a mixture of Nas’s story telling with the flow of
Gangstarr’s Guru. It is a deadly combination of lyrics and metaphors and very
meaningful punch lines.
In his song “Feel me,” he starts the song by saying that all
his life he sold dope and at the end he was broke. A strong lesson that many
inner city youth can take as a forewarning that fast money is called fast money
for a reason; it leaves you before you realize you possess it. He states that
we are all in Limbo, stuck on this Hell on Earth fighting among ourselves while
the Ark is leaving us for a better place. This metaphorical line can be
interpreted in many ways.
The song “But of Course” is a journey through his mind and
his view on the world. He is one of the very few that can admit his mistakes in
life and view everything in a different light.
The second verse gets even deeper when he talks about how the Devil is
upon us as we slip further away from God as the government programs Black
Americans to destroy themselves and each other in the hood by surviving a life
of crime without giving them the opportunity for a better life.
The album title is
"A Fool’s Opinion" because a man becomes a Genius no matter what.
When he knows, no matter how much nor how little, he knows.
