Reflecting on the inspiration behind the track, Inventor Ace shares, "Growing up, I was introduced to all styles of music, from Mary J. Blige and OutKast to Steely Dan and the Gypsy Kings. My dad always kept my mental musical library full, and that diverse exposure to music shaped the way I approach creating my own. In my teen years, I really connected with late 90s hip hop, artists like Wiz Khalifa, Kid Cudi, and Mac Miller (R.I.P.), and always wanted to create a stoner track if the opportunity ever came up.
