Get ready to embark on an auditory adventure with Montao's debut album, "Echoes of the Cosmos". This twelve-track masterpiece is a mesmerizing blend of Hip-Hop, Trip-Hop, cinematic soundscapes, Ambient Lo-Fi, Electronica, and classical influences.
A lifelong musician and multi-instrumentalist, Montao's rich musical background spans orchestras, jazz bands, funk ensembles, and even the mid-2000s indie rock sensation "elmor". His diverse experiences laid the groundwork for his artistry, but it was during the lockdown that a new chapter began. Out of that challenging time, Montao emerged, fueled by the desire to create. The name "Montao" itself reflects this journey: "Mon", meaning "My" in French, and "Tao", a term from Chinese philosophy signifying "Way".
With thirty-five years of musical experience and an expansive taste for various genres, Montao harnessed his newfound time and energy to finally put his long-dormant ideas to paper. The result is "Echoes of the Cosmos", an album that offers a fresh perspective on the music scene, showcasing a unique blend of styles and production techniques.
The album's twelve tracks invite listeners into a world of vivid musical landscapes and emotions. Montao's skillful production paints a dynamic picture that evolves with each song, ensuring a captivating experience from start to finish.
Featuring an impressive lineup of collaborations, Montao has joined forces with notable talents such as Slug from Atmosphere, Masta Killa of Wu-Tang Clan, Sa-Roc, Napoleon Da Legend, Koncept, Copywrite, Lane Shuler, and River Nelson. This diverse array of voices further enhances the album's rich tapestry.
"Echoes of the Cosmos" is more than just an album, it’s a journey through sound and emotion, reflecting the resilience and creativity that emerged from a time of uncertainty. Dive into Montao's world and experience the echoes of the cosmos yourself!
