On July 23, 2024, the 132nd anniversary of Emperor Haile Selassie I’s birth is commemorated with the release of "Prayerz Up," a single and music video by Ras Ceylon featuring Reggae/Dancehall icon Sizzla Kalonji and Chalice Row Records labelmate Young Shanty. The song honors Selassie I, a key figure in the Rastafari movement and a major influence on Reggae music.
"Prayerz Up" was filmed at Sizzla's Judgement Yard in Kingston, Jamaica, showcasing vibrant Caribbean visuals and a hypnotic beat produced by Monk HTS. Ras Ceylon emphasizes that the song serves as a form of prayer, encouraging listeners to connect with God's Will through its message and frequencies. The track is the sixth single from Ras Ceylon's album "To Srv The Ppl," released by Chalice Row Records, which also features collaborations with artists like Perfect Giddimani and members of Wu-Tang Clan.
