Chicago rapper Leo w3ST shares the latest video off of his dynamic Just HML project. “Don’t HML” serves as the album’s grand finale, with a core theme centered around w3ST deciding to choose himself and setting boundaries on those who don’t value him. It’s a bittersweet feeling that’s necessary for growth, as uncomfortable as it might be in the beginning

Like the song itself, the video feels familiar and laid-back. It features Leo w3ST at home spending time with himself working on music and lounging with friends while rapping over bouncy production that calls back to the classic chipmunk soul made famous by Chicago legends like No I.D., Kanye West, and Twista. It’s simple, but done well, as the viewer is quite literally placed in Leo’s room with him in insolation as he has conversations with himself while coming to terms with the decision. Like the song itself, it feels familiar and laid-back yet his introverted gesture plays with his head toward the end of the video while hearing his baby mama voice message on TV. Leading up to the release, Leo has been featured on major media sites including Dirty Glove Bastard Thisis50.com Get Em' High and more.
