Halibab Matador releases second single Ocean/Sea, a laid-back, instrumental groove that reflects the ebb and flow of waves, or feels like a warm hug. A behind-the-beat groove, guitar chops, and a meandering piano melodic line create distinct melodies answering each other like a conversation. Warbling synths and a keys solo add to the cozy feeling of the entire soundscape perfect for enjoying slow mornings, or watching the rain from your window.
"Ocean/Sea" evokes love. Knowing true love is a great privilege, which I’m blessed to enjoy. I wrote this song after a trip to the sea with my girlfriend, almost 8 years ago. We visited a giant aquarium, where I took a lot of pictures. For some reason this inspired me greatly.
