Hard-hitting drum break, dusted samples and gritty bars are all in abundance in new single "Grenade Pen". Available via all DSP’s now, this is the first evidence of the pairing of North Carolina emcee Sean Links and Baltimore’s Jamil Honesty (acting in a producer capacity here).

This track is a pre-cursor to the Bolo Yeung LP (dropping via Blackhouse Records in digital format on 4/21 with physicals dropping 5/5) which is fully produced by Jamil Honesty (who also spits on an album track). Other guests on the album will include Josiah The Gift, Pure (Raekwon), Maze Overlay, Pro Dillinger, Substance 810 and Squeegie Oblong.
Speaking on the cook-up with Links, Jamil Honesty said "I came across his IG page and have been locked in ever since. He’s an emcee’s emcee and I believe Bolo Yeung is a masterpiece". The forthcoming album is named for the legendary martial artist and bodybuilder whose villainy put him into direct combat with Bruce Lee in Enter The Dragon and Jean Claude Van Damme in Bloodsport. Speaking on the connection Links revealed "In every movie Bolo Yeung appeared he was a beast. I felt that concept here as I’m basically bullying rappers on each track".
Prior to this release Sean Links has released two projects (available via all digital platforms) The Missing Links (fully produced by Vago) and Radio Raheem (produced by Sibbs Roc and Slang Hugh).
Originally hailing from Staten Island, NY Jamil Honesty (now based in Baltimore) has been honing his craft for years. As an emcee he has dropped several projects with UK producer Hobgoblin (Martyr Musik and Martyr Musik 2) as well as his newest solo project The Rufus Buck Project and appeared on projects by Ill Conscious, Rome Streetz, M.A.V., Code Nine, Supreme Cerebral and more.He is also part of duo The Fix (with DJ Grazzhoppa) and the Harbor Kidz (with Squeegie Oblong).
As a producer Jamil Honesty has laced tracks featuring such notables as Skyzoo and Styles P.
