Brooklyn Drill Rapper Corey St. Rose Drops New Video "New York City"

Brooklyn drill artist Corey St.Rose releases an anthemic ode to his hometown. Available today, "New York City" is a full tilt ballad enhanced by rapid percussion and slick rhymes. "New York City" recounts the highs and lows of Corey’s music career since emerging in 2017. The East New York native is reflective, cocky and unapologetic about his experiences throughout the song.

"I get love in New York, I’m the man now", raps Corey to reassure fans that he is indeed a rising star on the East Coast. "New York City" arrives less than a month after the cheeky music video for "MMM".

"I definitely want to wrap up 2021 on a high note", says Corey. "I’ve been in a nice groove and felt it right to drop this joint".

Corey aims to end 2021 at the top of his game after gaining wide acclaim for the "Living Too Fast" and "True Colors" EPs. "If you have had the pleasure of listening to his music, you would know his work speaks for itself", writes Kazi Magazine. "New York City" exudes the same oomph as his breakout music video "Julius Caesar" with fellow Brooklyn drill stand-out Smoove’L.

"This whole year has been crazy", he adds. "I just want to carry this momentum into the new year. I have more music for my fans on the way".

"New York City" begins with an emphatic "let’s go" which echoes like a call to action towards viewers by Corey St.Rose. The command sets the pace for the high-energy song that allows Corey to express himself candidly. "F**k your words, got to see it by action / I make it count, had to switch up my circle and change up my route", he raps over a pulsing beat deepened by a sample of Mariah Carey’s “Slipping Away”. The music video debuts ahead of the release of the Living Too Fast (Deluxe Edition) due out before January.
