DC Stuban Drippin’ Positive Energy:

The clothes don’t make the man, but DC Stuban is gaining legions of fans by the bushelful with his fashionista looks, and the drippin’ is just beginning for the talented young performer. The smoking single “Drip” by Youngsta Musiq featuring DC Stuban has people on notice. It is summertime and even when the breeze is blowing in off the water: This is hot. DC Stuban was born in Jamaica, in Spanish Town, the capital and the largest town of the parish of St. Catherine, at Spanish Town Hospital. Explaining his moniker for those not in the know: “It means hardheaded - like stubborn - but it is spelled in the patois way.”

He stays local and true to his roots. In fact, his earliest influence was unsurprisingly Beenie Man, but he also reveres the legend of all legends, Bob Marley and listened to Mavado for further inspiration. He has performed out in the island nation, saying, “Yeah man, Jamaica all over. Four corners.” And he is expanding his horizons. DC Stuban rocks lots of dope looks and doesn’t have a current single favorite fashion designer, but the brand LV resonates “because of the quality.” Few more right moves made in music and young DC Stuban can pack some new luxury suitcases for major world tours.

CEO DADDY BIGG$ of Platinum Camp Records, based out of Atlanta, Georgia, USA, is currently looking to put an American tour together for the up-and-comer, coming out of the global pandemic shutdowns. “I want to be at the top, in five years, 10 years. I want to give back and pull up other kids, other artists in the industry. Push dancehall global, keep the culture alive and keep the opportunities flowing. In music, just like in my looks, I dig variety. That appeals to my generation more than it did to our predecessors, maybe. I make happy music, so people can have good vibes and positive energy.”
