Pi'erre Bourne Releases His Long Awaited Album "The Life Of Pi'erre 5"
Today marks the release of Pi’erre Bourne’s highly anticipated album, The Life Of Pi’erre 5, released via SossHouse/ Interscope Records. Pi’erre’s TLOP projects date back to 2016 when he kicked off the series while producing for other artists, five years later he shares the last chapter, closing out the successful run with the fifth installment. Of the series Pi’erre shares “The TLOP series has been a crazy ride. On the sixteen-track project which Pitchfork named one of the “Most Anticipated Albums of Summer 2021” Pi’erre continues to prove his abilities as a rapper over his impressive solo production. The album kicks off with an intro then quickly builds up to “Switchin Lanes” featuring longtime collaborator, Playboi Carti. TLOP5 also includes “Groceries,” which received major support across all DSP’s, and garnered recognition from Pitchfork, Fader, Complex, Lyrical Lemonade among others, “Sossboy 2 ft. Lil Uzi Vert” which Rolling Stone recognized as “something as compelling as Bourne’s best work,” before wrapping up with the first single he shared off the project, the intimate track, “4U, ” which has over four million views on YouTube. A major year for the super-rapper/producer, Pi’erre will continue to build his momentum by performing at Rolling Loud Miami next month and touring 23 dates across Europe this Fall. As Pi’erre continues to expand his scope, unwilling to settle into any defined role, it’s hard to imagine the young star stopping any time soon.
