Earns First Top 10 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart, and Sees Other Notable Early Success
Atlanta native singer, songwriter, and rapper BRS Kash emerged on the scene last year with his catchy anthem “Throat Baby (Go Baby),” which has now amassed more than 194 million global streams and currently holds #1 on Urban Radio. The song landed him his first RIAA Gold certification and a record deal with LVRN/Interscope Records with Team Litty back in August of 2020 gaining popularity in the nightlife of Atlanta then later gained popularity on TikTok with over a million combined creates. On January 22nd, he released his latest offering Kash Only featuring the viral hit "Throat Baby (Go Baby)," a remix of the record with DaBaby and City Girls, and other lead tracks with Mulatto and Toosii. Last week, "Throat Baby (Go Baby)" hit the top 10 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and continues to climb the Billboard Hot 100. Currently, BRS Kash also holds the top spot on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Songwriters chart.
“Throat Baby (Go Baby)” also received over 26.2 million streams on Spotify, and was in the top three highest Shazamed songs in Atlanta. The hit track remained as the #1 Shazamed song in Atlanta for over 6 months straight and peaked at #12 on Shazam’s top 200.
Kash has received over 300 million total streams and is Rap Caviar’s Top 10 Artists to Watch and Complex’s Rappers To Watch in 2021. He performed at TheShadeRoom’s 1st Annual Shady Awards and is a top Rolling Loud stream performer. He was also named to YouTube’s Black Voices Class of 2021, which celebrates and nurtures Black artistry around the world with a focus on racial justice and the Black experience.
