Heavyweight producer Kid D released the audio for brand-new track Serious Choices ft. grime star Novelist on Sunday, and went on to drop the video last night on GRM Daily.
A mature, ambient sounding, self-produced grime track by Kid D, sees him showcasing his emcee skills, which he has recently revisited after first displaying them on the radio circuit when he first started out. Like Kid D’s previous release Take Me Away, it’s giving his listeners a sense of empowerment with his and Novelists inspirational bars and messages.
The track serves as part of a forthcoming debut vocal project Substance, with features from Ghetts, Devlin & Novelist among others, along with genre-spanning productions.
Having produced for some of the biggest names in grime Wiley, Ghetts, Devlin, Skepta and Hardy Caprio, Kid D is not a new name in the scene, carving a name for himself as one of the genre’s most poignant instrumentalists. This new music is showing off his skills as a wordsmith as well as producing, revealing the artist has more talent than he has ever displayed before all on one record.
