Lute - "GED" Gettin Every Dolla Video

DREAMVILLE’S GRAMMY-NOMINATED ARTIST LUTE RELEASES
NEW SINGLE + VIDEO “GED (GETTIN EVERY DOLLA)”

Dreamville loyalists have spent the past few weeks contemplating the meaning behind the label’s “Gettin Every Dolla” commercials. They will be happy to know that it has, in part, served as a teaser for the long-awaited return of Grammy-nominated artist, Lute. Ripping across the duly-titled single, “GED (Gettin Every Dolla),” Lute’s distinct delivery and swift flow is a sharp reminder of the artist’s intensity and lyrical prowess. As Lute raps about his personal “come-up,” the accompanying Neal Farmer-directed visual paints an even broader picture of triumph; hinting at various time periods throughout American history while Lute stands tall, throughout. Farmer even manages to incorporate Lute’s flashy alter ego, Gold Mouf. You can view the video for “GED (Gettin Every Dolla)” below.

Though the single may serve as Lute’s first solo offering since 2017’s album West 1996 pt. 2, the Charlotte-born rapper has continuously shined on a number of collaborations over the years; most recently, the Grammy-nominated project Revenge of the Dreamers III. Fans were particularly thrilled with the single, “Under the Sun” which featured fellow North Carolinians: superstar and label head, J. Cole, as well as, popular rising artist, DaBaby. In addition to his music, Lute’s style has been heavily lauded in mainstream media as of late. He made Vogue’s “Best Dressed Men at the GRAMMYs” list and also landed a spot on Refinery29’s best dressed list. As his star continues to rise, Lute’s focus remains on his family; and he is ever vocal about his love for his daughter. Always transparent, Lute will continue to delve into his life in rhyme as he continues to work on new music.
